My Holiday Party Outfit Revealed

Nothing went right this weekend. Mr Boots’ truck broke down and he wasn’t able to fix it before we had to leave for his work’s holiday party. We had to drop my car off at the collision center to get fixed and now I have no car until I can pick up a rental tomorrow evening. I failed at packing the boys’ bags for their weekend visit to their grandparents house. I also failed at packing my own overnight bag for the night of the party.

A lot of things went wrong, but one thing that went right was the outfit I put together from thredUP specifically for the holiday party.

I was comfortable. I felt pretty thanks to some new make up (PS, I’m in love with Garnier’s BB cream!). I got several positive comments on the shoes and how I looked in general (apparently the word on my PiYo workouts and flexibility class has gotten around!).

I felt the best I had in a long time. And the prettiest I’d felt in an even longer time.

This outfit cost me $59 – everything was slightly used but you really couldn’t tell. Retail it would have been $267! It still blows my mind. I wish there had been better lighting so I didn’t have to take a bathroom selfie. But the bathrooms were the only places in the hotel with great lighting.

How would you like $10 to try thredUp? Use my referral link and you’ll get $10 to shop and I’ll get $10 for referring you, making us both winners!
