I can’t believe I have two kids in elementary school!
I wanted to send in a Getting to Know You worksheet to each of the boys’ teachers last year, but they actually gave us a handout at their Meet the Teacher Days with a little bit of background about themselves.
G’s teacher did the same this year, but L’s did not so I made one for him to take to school this week. I’m sharing it with you today!
I tend to have a lot more interaction with L’s teachers throughout the school year because of speech/developmental concerns and his food allergy. I know that creates more work for his teachers, so I like to go a little bit above and beyond for them when I can.
This questionnaire also includes a spot for teachers to jot down some supplies they’d like for their classroom. Each year G has come home mid-year with a list of supplies needed by his teacher or the school nurse. Teachers can write down what they tend to run out of or something they’d love to use for a future project that wasn’t on the school supply list.
Use this Getting to Know Your Teacher questionnaire for holiday gift ideas, Teacher Appreciation Week, or end of the year gifts. Or just a little random “thank you” at some point during the school year.
