20 Questions

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was to see this post from PAIL. If you follow my blog, then you’ve probably read that I love these kinds of surveys. I’m taking a break from freaking out over becoming a SAHM next week to complete it and hopefully I can get this submitted in time! I’ve definitely enjoyed reading some of the ones that have popped up on my reader this week. Especially the answers to #20!

  1. What was the last thing you threw in the garbage/recycling? a diaper rash wash box
  2. What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod? I’m not able to plug in my iPod into a computer right now, but if I have to guess, it’s “Addicted” by Saving Abel — the song I did choreographed and performed my Pole Level 6 graduation routine to.
  3. What is your favorite quote? “My darling you’re such a child. You think that by saying you’re sorry that all the past can be corrected.” — Gone With the Wind
  4. What chore do you absolutely hate doing? toilets. It’s one thing when I know I’ve been the only one using it, but how often does that happen? I don’t really like cleaning up other people’s messes.
  5. What is your favorite form of exercise? pole dancing, hands down! If you have a pole fitness studio near you, I urge you to give it a try. Not only is it a full body work out, it’s a surprisingly good confidence booster!
  6. What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year? My favorite time of the day is when I get into bed after taking a shower/my favorite day of the week is Saturday (we’ll see if that changes once I’m home full-time)/my favorite month of the year is October
  7. What is on your bedside table? not a lot since it isn’t my bedside table: a lamp, elastic band, and lotion.
  8. What is your favorite body part?  used to be my boobs. I still like my boobs as long as they are in a push up bra. I’m certainly proud of them for cooperating with nursing as long as they have. But I think now it’s my hair. It’s the only thing that seems unchanged by pregnancy (I attribute the growing number of gray hairs to motherhood).
  9. Would you use the power of invisibility for good or evil? Elaborate. more than likely evil. I know I’d spy on Hubby. I’d probably spy on a lot of people and what good can come of knowing everything about everyone?
  10. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? 16
  11. What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? pay off my mortgage
  12. What is your biggest pet peeve? It used to be when people didn’t say goodbye after finishing a conversation on the phone or IM. Now I think it’s women who don’t wash their hands (properly or at all) after using the bathroom.
  13. If you could know the answer to any question, what would it be? will we be okay financially after we move?
  14. At what age did you become an adult? I don’t know if I really have. But maybe after G was born at 29 — every day he challenges me to put someone other than myself first and to allow someone else to be the center of attention– but it’s easy for me to slide back into “Me, me, me” mode. Hubby would say I became an adult back in December when I got my first traffic violation ticket (I’m 30).
  15. Recommend a book, movie, or television show in three sentences or less. The Tudors – It’s got sex, boobies, hotties, and history. But not the BBCA version. You need the original version to see the good stuff!
  16. What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Freshman year I went tanning on a dorm roof and got probation through my sophomore year. I didn’t get into too much trouble otherwise.
  17. What was the first album you bought with your own money? I think it was Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morrisette. If it wasn’t that, then it was Matchbox 20’s Yourself or Someone Like You
  18. If someone wrote a book about you, what would be the title? I have NO idea.
  19. What story do you wish your family would stop telling about you? The one where I was five and stood in the garage yelling at the boys who lived across the street, apparently giving them some kind of what-for. Oh, did I mention that I was in my underwear and my panties were too big on me?
  20. True or false: The unicorn is the greatest mythical creature. State your case. While I think it is a great mythical creature, I have to say it really is the mother who has it all together!

  2. Ooooh – I used to love my boobs, but they’re getting pretty saggy and sad now days. I’ve always told Char that i’m not opposed to a boob job when we’re done with kids, just to put them back in the right place! 🙂

    1. This show made me a Henry Cavill fan 🙂 That’s so funny you’re re-watching it while packing. We’ve been watching it while UN-packing!
