#MicroblogMondays: Resolutions

Mel at Stirrup Queens got me thinking about resolutions this morning. I’ve been thinking of some blogging goals for 2015, but haven’t given personal resolutions too much thought until I read her #MicroblogMondays post.

  • I really want to lose my last 10lbs of baby weight.
  • Run a 5k (I have my eye on a Turkey Trot in November. Any tips on how to train?).
  • Go on one date a month with Hubby.
  • And the one resolution I make every year and don’t usually follow through: stay on top of birthdays and anniversaries and mail actual cards to friends and family for those occasions. I’ve signed up for Postable in hopes it will help me keep this resolution this year.

  1. They sound like great resolutions. I’ve been doing a couch to 5k programme (you can get a free app that tells you when to walk and run) which I would recommend. I’m at week 5 (it’s an 8 week programme, 3 days a week) and I’m finally feeling like I might not die if I run more than a minute in one go 🙂 Good luck with all your goals.

    • I’ve heard great things about the Couch to 5K program and it’s one I hope to try. Good luck completing the next 3 weeks!!

  2. With that last one, one year I bought all the cards and addressed them ahead of time and then dropped them in a folder labeled with the month. I think left reminders on my calender so all I had to do was grab out the card, fill it out, and drop it in the post box. Of course, I sucked the year after that when I didn’t repeat that practice.
